Ocean Observations’ core skills are Interaction Design, Graphic User Interface Design and Industrial Design.

Ocean Observations is a unique company with a process covering every aspect of designing wireless devices from research (business, market, brand and users) to the finished physical product, not being tied to any carrier or handset manufacturer.

To support the core skills we also have Brand Strategy and Business Strategy capabilities. We also employ a network of graphic artists, photographers and sound designers to ensure a superior result in every aspect of our work.

We also put a lot of time and effort into Research & Development and are quite busy giving speeches and educating the next generation of designers.

Beautiful – it can mean different things depending on the context and the beholder, but it is always an important aspect of all decisions we make as individuals. After all, we all love beautiful things.

Easy to use – as the functionality and the content grows richer the usability aspect will be critical for both operators, service providers and handset manufacturers from a business perspective.

Usefulness – only a fraction of the functionality in a mobile phone is used today. Ocean believes mobile phones and its functionality could be adapted to users situations, needs, behaviours and interests in a much more efficient way. Leaving out the unnecessary, focusing on the desired features.
