Designing a service to empower factory workers and drive measurable CSR impact
Millions of factory workers producing the goods we buy and use every day are unaware of their basic rights and responsibilities when it comes to health, safety, and workplace policies at the factory. This results in a decreased quality-of-life for factory workers and an increased risk for tragic accidents to occur at factories working with global brands. Together with the founders of QuizRR, we designed a multidimensional web-based knowledge platform that includes a digital training tool to educate and empower workers around their rights and responsibilities, as well as a reporting tool that helps connect global buyers with responsible suppliers and production partners.

Improving healthcare by empowering patients to shorten the journey to diagnosis
The ability to successfully treat Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) depends largely on how early the disease is detected. Unfortunately, in today’s healthcare system, the journey from initial onset of symptoms to official diagnosis of RA is unnecessarily long. Together with Karolinska Institutet and the Karolinska University Hospital we designed an online screening service for Rheumatoid Arthritis that empowers patients and helps shorten the journey to diagnosis--so treatment can begin earlier, with more successful results.

Today, 6000 people in Sweden take the online screening test every month, providing a valuable decision support tool that guides both patients and care providers in the journey towards diagnosis and treatment, making medical visits more meaningful, efficient and effective. -
Making Sweden more open
Together with our client Axfoundation we have created a matchmaking service called Yrkesdörren. The service supports new Swedes in connecting them with established Swedes and letting them expand their networks, which eventually can lead to a job. In Sweden, 7 out of 10 jobs are mediated through contacts. Yrkesdörren is part of the Axfoundation initiative ÖppnaDörren. In our collaboration with Axfoundation we also designed the ÖppnaDörren site.

Translating complex medical data into a personalized action plan for patients
Together with the world's foremost researchers in rheumatology and multiple sclerosis, we have developed a tool to visualize correlations between genetic data and lifestyle habits in order to trigger and motivate behavioral change. The service prototype, Riskminder, provides users with a personal assessment of their individual risk level and personalized advice on lifestyle changes that lower their risk of developing chronic diseases and result in improved prognosis and better outcomes of treatment.

Improving safety in nuclear power plants
Automation plays a central role in the processing industry. With an increasing amount of connected data that can be measured and visualized, an increased focus on user needs in the design of these systems is crucial for a safe, effective and more user-friendly system. Together with ABB and their users we designed the 800xA automation system, with a focus on providing outstanding usability.

Creating user experiences that spark better collaboration between patients and care providers
When living with chronic disease, the healthcare system becomes a life-long partner to collaborate with around health and wellbeing. Together with Upstream Dream, young patients diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, and care professionals we designed the user experience for Genia, a digital patient support system. Genia aims to improve the quality of care and create a better integration and collaboration between care at home and care received at the clinic.
