Industrial Design is communication.
Carl is a fierce advocate for the conviction that product design is identifying and creating the best possible solution and user experience, as well as communicating the essence of the brand in a clear way through the product itself. This makes Carl aligned with the rest of Ocean Observations’ band of bandits.
Carl holds a MFA in Industrial Design from the University collage of art, craft an design in Stockholm (Konstfack).
Before joining Ocean Observations in 2005 Carl was busy managing his own design firm, established in 2003. This work for includes product design and collaboration with Tele 2, Fym AB, CCS Prosales, AGO AB and Peekaboo Design. He has also been an intern at Källemo ab, Electrolux IDC and Peekaboo Design. In parallel to the consultancy work for clients Carl has been an sought after lecturer and teacher where his assignments include Design Methodology, CAD and Sketching (University Collage of Södertörn , Stockholm), Cad and design (KTH Royal School of Architecture, Stockholm), Design methodology (KTH Royal Collage of Technology, Stockholm), Three dimensional visualization (University collage of art, craft an design, Stockholm), Design process (Stockholm Technical Institute) and Cad Design for Electrolux IDC.
Carl’s scholarships include Orrefors – Glass production technique 2002, University collage of art, craft an design 2004 and J.L Eklunds Hantverksstiftelse 2003.
In 2003 Carl was an invited speaker at the Future Design Days Conference.
