Barefoot Hackers and Ocean Observations Launch Smartr, a Learning Tool Application for Mac.

Barefoot Hackers, a group of development wizards, and Ocean Observations, an award-winning design agency, want to help you be Smartr. Today the two shops are proud to announce the release of Smartr, a learning tool application available in the Mac App Store. The application was selected as a Featured Application by Apple, and is currently listed as New and Noteworthy in the Mac App Store.

Smartr is a study aid that makes it easy to learn and remember things using a spaced repetition method of learning. Users simply create stacks of cards with information they want to memorize and then study them like Flashcards. The application carefully selects cards for the study sessions based on past performance, so the user gets the right question at the right time for optimal retention.

"We wanted to build a tool that would help people to learn things and that also would be easy to use." says Leo Giertz of Barefoot Hackers.

For the two Swedish companies, the collaboration was a natural one. "After teaming up on several client projects, we knew that we shared the same knack for making beautiful things that make people's lives easier. It was great to collaborate on a project of our own that allowed us to combine our shared strengths: beautiful, meaningful design and Flawless technical solutions that solve real problems," says Sarah Tollefson of Ocean Observations.

Smartr is available for purchase on the Mac App store, and a free trial-version is also available. Learn more at http://smartr.be/.
